Instructions for Semen Specimen

The specimen should be collected by masturbation or as doctor has directed after 3 to 5 days of abstinence from intercourse.
The entire specimen should be collected in a clean dry bottle or sterile container
Masturbation is preferred. Ejaculate directly into the bottle. DO NOT USE A CONDOM.
Record the time of collection and bring the specimen to Northeast Georgia within 45 minutes after collection or specimen is not valid.
Keep the specimen at approximately body temperature until it is brought to the laboratory; carrying it in a pocket will suffice.
Do not use any kind of lubrication.
